"I have wandered all my life, and I have also traveled; the difference between the two being this, that we wander for distraction, but we travel for fulfillment." — Hilaire Belloc
After a decade of wandering, this felt like one of my first experiences in traveling for fulfillment. Traveling for fulfillment to me means being enveloped in experiencing the beauty and daily rhythm of my new surroundings, as opposed to wandering into new surroundings and focusing on myself.
The funny thing is, when you travel for fulfillment you allow yourself to become intrinsically inspired by your surroundings in a way that isn’t possible when you wander and expect some kind of revelations and clarity to happen to you.
